The Hidden Detail

Life Orientation is included in your UFH APS — but it is capped at 4 points, no matter your mark. Even if you score 90% in LO, you get 4 points, not 7 or 8. The prospectus states this explicitly: LO is a 10-credit subject, and the university imposes a hard 4-point ceiling when calculating your APS. Most students assume a high LO mark boosts their score significantly. It does not.

UFH offers merit-based fee waivers for high-scoring new undergraduates — R3,500 off tuition for APS 34–38, up to full tuition coverage for APS 48+. This is not widely advertised and is built directly into the fee schedule.
